Biographical Text
Itinerant humanistic teacher in Venice, Bologna, Florence, and Ferrara from 1424-1440. He brought 238 vols. of the Greek classics from Constantinople to Italy in 1423 and discovered Tertullian, the Panegyrici with the <em>Panegyricus in Traianum</em> of the younger Pliny and Donatus' commentary on Terence.
