Itinerant humanistic teacher in Venice, Bologna, Florence, and Ferrara from 1424-1440. He brought 238 vols. of the Greek classics from Constantinople to Italy in 1423 and discovered Tertullian, the Panegyrici with the Panegyricus in Traianum of the younger Pliny and Donatus' commentary on Terence.
